Metal Mayhem Has Come to an End
After three summers of bringing Metal Mayhem to Denver Skatepark, KLOKi Radio has decided to end the program.
Metal Mayhem was built around one idea: bringing loud, underground music directly to the park and playing what the skaters wanted to hear. Whether it was crust punk, hardcore, grind, metal, or something completely different, requests always came first. It was about the community, the music, and creating a soundtrack for the park.
Unfortunately, the cooperation that made this possible has faded. As a result, KLOKi Radio is no longer supporting the skatepark concert scene, and Metal Mayhem has officially come to an end.
Thank you to everyone who came out, requested songs, skated, hung out, and made the last three summers memorable. It was a privilege to provide the soundtrack.

Metal Mayhem, now in its third year at DPark during warmer months, is a mobile sonic assault unit, rolled straight into Denver Skatepark and blasted through distortion-drenched truth. This isn't a show; it's a statement. Fueled by crust punk, hardcore, grind, metal, and everything filthy in between, plus anything the park requests, Metal Mayhem exists to bring underground audio mayhem directly to the people who live it.During the summer, I set up my mobile studio and crank the signal. No permits. No apologies. Just raw volume and the bands the mainstream ignores.
Requests are always welcome regardless of the genre. In fact, KLOKi Radio prefers to play the music the park requests over any prepared playlist.
Requests are played onsite. This is about community, chaos, and keeping it real where wheels grind rails and the youth still give a damn. Come out, hang out, grind the rails, and get loud.
2026 Schedule
Metal Mayhem is subject to cancellation depending on park attendance, during concert takeovers, and/or weather conditions. The mayhem shuts down 30 minutes prior to any concert takeover, when they happen, and gives way to other gigs that show up who want to entertain the park. Bring your skateboard, scooters, roller blades, BMX bike, or whatever helps elevate our enjoyment of the DPark community space.

After the unfortunate fatal shooting on May 22nd, 2026 at the corner of 20th and Little Raven in the Lower Downtown neighborhood, park attendance collapsed. Folks are starting to return.
Denver Skatepark remains a safe, welcoming place for skaters and families of all ages. While we are deeply saddened by the recent incident, it does not reflect the spirit of our skatepark community. We encourage everyone to continue enjoying the park, supporting one another, and helping keep this space positive, active, and safe for all.
